This time, we introduce about Uzuto Lion Dance. Uzuto Lion Dance, which is designated Cultural Property, has a tradition of 300 years.
It was presupposed that it was happened to 1774-1748, added the lion dance in 1851, and became the present form. Various dances are performed while accompanied by drums.
Uzuto Lion Dance is performed in HIroshima on the Last Sunday of July, it is held Zingi of Uzuki(Pray for rain to a drought) once every two years. When the lion and dancer march in procession around the Uzuto village, why don’t you follow the procession?
