Last month, I present to you the article about the Japanese graduation ceremony. When the graduation ceremony ends, the following will be entrance ceremony. To my surprise, I heard it is only in Japan that graduation ceremony and the entrance ceremony are held in spring, and in most countries, such events will be held in the fall.
In early April, all schools in Japan will solemnly hold an entrance ceremony, and as a protector of the children, parents will go to attend the celebration to witness their children in splendid attire. It is rare to hold a grand entrance ceremony like this in the world, so we can say this is a unique culture in Japan.
The entrance ceremony for elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university are all different, which has its own style and mode. In Japan, for children, especially when they are entering the elementary school, it is a very memorable day for them to enter the school for the first time. Therefore, parents are very attached to it and full of energy. There are also a handful of families who have begun to prepare for the entrance ceremony more than a year ago.
For elementary school students in Japan, boys usually wear gaku-ran, while girls are sailors, and then wear a double-strap bag. These are the most classic attire, and most primary schools use this style. Of course, there are also schools that use private clothes and suits or original design uniforms. In addition, for the color of hard double-strap bag, boys usually choose black, while girls choose red. However, recently, other color bags such as pink and blue have begun to be sold in stores.
Speaking of entrance ceremony, the very exciting class grouping must be one of the fun. When the class grouping information is posted in the notice bar at the school gate, some children ware assigned to the same class, and others are assigned to other classes, such off-again among friends are also an important chapter for the youth of everyone.
Then next let's talk about the reign title of Japan. In Japan, people uses reign title to number the years which are different with Gregorian calendar, for example, Meiji, Taisho, Showa, etc. are all formulated as symbols of a certain historical period in Japan. When the new Mikado ascends the throne, they will use a new reign title. In this April, the current Japanese Mikado will abdicate, the "Heisei" era is about to end, the new reign title will be born and the new Mikado will be seated.
On April 1st, the Japanese government announced the new reign title, Reiwa, which declared that Japan will open a new era. The new reign title will be implemented since the new Mikado’s reign on May 1st, which means that this month will be the last April of Heisei.
